Description

The Rescuers Madame Medusa Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1977). "Brutus! Nero! Stop that infernal racket!" The greedy and obsessive Madame Medusa from the 1977 feature The Rescuers is the focus of this stunning 16 field production cel. The antagonist of the film was animated solely by one of Disney's "Nine Old Men" and Disney Legend inductee Milt Kahl (1909 - 1987). She was one of his last major projects before his retirement from Walt Disney Studios in 1976 and is regarded by many to be some of his greatest work. The hand-inked and hand-painted cel can be found at 48:31 in the film as Madame Medusa storms from her room towards her pet crocodiles Brutus and Nero. The full body figure measures about 4.75'' x 7.75'' in a 15'' x 10'' mat window. It is displayed in a 20'' x 15'' glass frame with a Walt Disney Company seal in the lower right. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. This wonderful lot is in Very Good condition with light handling wear.
