Description
Robin Hood Prince John Laminated Production Cel Setup (Walt Disney, 1973). "No! None of that!" yells childish Prince John to Sir Hiss when the snake tries to hypnotize the Prince out of his thumb-sucking habit, in this original hand-painted two layer production cel setup. It comes at the 8:44 timestamp in the film, right after John crowns himself in his brother King Richard's absence. This overly sensitive yet blissfully ignorant would-be monarch has a nice large image size of approximately 6.5" x 9"; the well-centered cel includes a Disney seal in the lower right and is matted with an opening of 14" x 11", and an overall mat size of 20" x 18". The cel was laminated by the Disney Studios sometime during the 1990s; there is a 6" long separation mark to the right of John, extending from his crown, plus some minor color bleeding seen in his purple robe.
