Description
The Pink Panther "Pinky's Pending Pink Slip" Pink Panther and Mermaid Production Cel Setup on 33.75'' Master Production Background (MGM, 1993). Pinky is having the time of his life with this mermaid statue! This lot features a hilarious 12 field 3-peghole production cel found at about 7:35 in Season 1 episode 31 "Pinky's Pending Pink Slip", airing on 11/8/1993, as he grabs the hand of the mermaid display at the aquarium while looking for new ways to teach biology. The beautiful underwater pan production background, rendered in gouache and conté crayon, can be found at roughly 6:55 in "Pinky... He Delivers" as part of Season 1 episode 17 that aired on 1/17/1993 that followed Pinky as he worked to deliver a wrapped package to a shark. Pinky and the mermaid are both full figure and measure about 8.5'' x 6.75'' while the large pan background is about 33.75'' x 10.5''. The cel includes an FFE seal with the cel noted P-30 and the background marked PP46 and BG78. Very Good condition with minor edge and handling wear, faint fading to the linework, and signs of professional restoration.Auction Info
