Description

The Jungle Book Flaps and Ziggy Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1967). In this original 12 field production cel from The Jungle Book, two of The Beatles-inspired vultures share a laugh. The two are named Flaps and Ziggy, resembling Paul McCartney and John Lennon respectively. The vultures help Mowgli at his lowest and the development staff was considering having the band voice the characters, though they declined because of work conflicts. However, the friendly vultures still kept their look and 1960s barbershop-style song in the film. These two hand-painted characters are 7.25'' x 5'' combined and were created for the scene at around 1:12:35 after it's revealed Baloo is alive after his fight with Shere Khan. Everyone shares a laugh, relieved that everything turned out well in the end. They are displayed on a print background for presentation purposes in a 14'' x 11'' mat and are in Very Good condition with light handling wear.
