Description
Katnip the Cat Concept Drawings by Dave Tendlar Group (Famous Studios, c. 1950s). Two delightful pages of artwork from the hand of master animator and director, Dave Tendlar (1909 - 1993), featuring Katnip's impressions of famous actors. Katnip makes like James Cagney and Humphrey Bogart in the first page, and Jackie Gleason (in an "Away We Go" pose), Charles Laughton (as Captain Bligh) and Edward G. Robinson on the second page. Art is in graphite on 11" x 8.5" paper. A makeshift paper folder lists the impressions by "good actor" Katnip, signed in the bottom right corner by Dave Tendlar.
