Description
Brave Police J-Decker Shadowmaru, Power Joe, and Dumpson Group Pan Production Cel Setup with Power Joe Animation Drawing (Sunrise, c. 1994-95). Created as a collaboration between the toy company Takara (the company behind Transformers) and the animation studio Sunrise (the animation studio behind series like Gundam, Cowboy Bebop, and Dirty Pair, to name a few), Brave Police J-Decker was produced as part of the Brave series of anime and toys that sought to revive the Super Robot genre of anime in the '90s. Presented is an amazing pan production cel setup with the robots Shadowmaru (measuring 7"), Power Joe (standing at 4"), and Dumpson (5.75" tall), exhibiting their striking toy-like design that made the series so popular with kids. The included matching drawing for Power Joe is rendered in graphite with green, red, and yellow colored pencils on pan-sized animation paper. The setup presents some light surface scuffing and scratches that don't affect the art, and very light fading ink on the linework.
