Description
Make Mine Music "All the Cats Join In" Bobby-Soxer Couple Production Cel with Rough Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1946). Showcased in this lot is a hand-inked and hand-painted production cel featuring a dancing Bobby-Soxer couple and a rare rough animation drawing from the fan-favorite Make Mine Music segment "All the Cats Join in." This 1946 anthology film was released on April 20, 1946, featuring 10 musical segments. The dynamic couple in the production cel can be seen at about the 18:00 mark of the movie, presenting a joined image size of 5" x 5.5", while the drawing of the lady getting ready for a night out was created for what appears at the 15:00 timestamp, displaying a figure size of 2" x 4.25" done in graphite on a 12-field five-peghole sheet, numbered 224 in the bottom right corner. The production cel has been trimmed to imaged and placed on a new cel, displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes. Professional restoration can be seen on the cel. The drawing shows normal age-related toning and a wrinkle in the center area. Overall, the condition is Good to Very Good with minor handling and edge wear from production.Auction Info
