Description

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Doc Character Design Drawing by Bill Tytla (Walt Disney, 1937). From Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, we present a fantastic character design drawing of the unofficial leader of the dwarfs, the amicable Doc, created by the celebrated Disney Legend Bill Tytla (1904 - 1968). One of the first artists to be assigned to work on the iconic Disney film, Tytla was responsible (along with Fred Moore) for animating the titular seven dwarfs and famously proposed that when they walked, they should swing their hips. This drawing of Doc displays Tytla's great skill in granting an expressive flair to his characters and features him measuring 6" on the two images, created in graphite and orange color pencil on a 12-field 5-peghole animation sheet. The drawing has pinholes across the top edge and light age-related toning. In Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear from production.
From the Famed Disney Animator Bill Tytla Archive.
