Description
Carl Barks Lithograph Collection 8 Sold-Out Limited Edition Gold Plate Edition Miniature Lithograph Prints #15/100 and #1/100 (Walt Disney/Another Rainbow, 1999). This set of eight miniature lithographs that feature Donald Duck, Uncle Scrooge, and Donald's nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie is really something special. First, these are the hard-to-find Gold Plate Edition prints with the added .25" gold band around the image; these are limited to only 100 pieces. Second, seven of the prints have the VERY low number of 15 out of that 100; these titles include "Luck of the North," "A Christmas Trimming," "Lavender and Old Lace" (with the entire Duck Family), "Menace from the Grotto" (which comes with the comic book Donald Duck Adventures #9) "The Goose Egg Nugget," "The Expert" (Uncle Scrooge McDuck solo), and "Dude for a Day." But the most special of all is the print for "Flubbity Dubbity Duffer" which is #1 of 100!! All eight lithos have been hand-signed by the incomparable Carl Barks (1901 - 2000) who wrote and drew the very best Disney character comic books from the 1940s to the '60s... and then painted the exquisite images used for these prints. Each print measures approximately 13" x 11.5" with image sizes of approximately 10" x 8" and comes in a mylar sleeve that includes a Certificate of Authenticity. The prints are housed in a hand-crafted, foil-stamped, clamshell boxed set measuring 15.25" x 13.5" x 2".
