The Huckleberry Hound Show Huckleberry Hound Production Cel (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1958-61). "The biggest show in town is Huckleberry Hound for all you guys and gals! The biggest clown in town is Huckleberry Hound with all his cartoon pals!" This is a wonderful original production cel featuring the beloved classic Hanna-Barbera icon Huckleberry Hound from his very own The Huckleberry Hound Show. This pivotal series was syndicated in 1958, and famously was the introduction of Yogi Bear. Huckleberry Hound was famously voiced by the great Daws Butler, whom, according to Joe Barbera, knew about twelve different Southern accents before finding the one just right for Huckleberry during the development of the character. Hand-inked and hand-painted on an elaborate five 12 field cels, Huckleberry Hound measures a full-figure 4.25" tall. The piece is displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes, and it is matted with a window size of 10" x 7.75" and an overall mat size of 16" x 14". Minor handling and edge wear from normal studio use, and this magnificent piece from the early years of Huckleberry Hound is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
