Description
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea "The Nautilus" Booklet with 2 Studio Photos Owned by Marc Davis (Walt Disney, 1950s). Disney Legend Marc Davis (1913 - 2000), also one of Disney's "Nine Old Men", briefly worked on 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea creating costume designs. This lot includes a rare 8.5'' x 11'' booklet titled "The Nautilus" and two studio photos from production, giving insight into the creation of this award-winning film. The booklet cover includes Davis's hand-written name with 10 pages all including the Walt Disney Productions copyright stamp. Inside are copies of production art, storyboards, photos, characters, and diagrams of the Nautilus itself. Production art includes Volcania's surface and map, the prison island Rorapandi, and concepts of marine monsters. The 8'' x 10'' photos picture the Nautilus as well as the crew on the ship with the cataloguing numbers on the back. Very Good condition for these incredible pieces with minor edge and handling wear and light age-related toning.From the Disney Legend Inductees Marc and Alice Davis Archive.
