The Disney Villain Hardcover Book Signed by Ollie Johnston and Frank Thomas (Walt Disney/Hyperion, 1993). The fourth and final book by Disney's two master animators is a complete look at great villains that they and other artists conceived and animated in production of Disney cartoon shorts and feature films. The text analyzes the development, character, and role of those unforgettable bad guys and gals, and is fully illustrated in color and black and white with production art, scenes from the movies, and behind-the-scenes photographs. This 232-page out-of-print book is hand-signed by the authors, Frank Thomas (1912 - 2004) and Ollie Johnston (1912 - 2008), two or Walt Disney's master animators known as his "Nine Old Men," who contributed to the creation of many of the short cartoons and nearly every animated feature from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) through The Fox and the Hound (1981). The book includes a dust jacket and measures approximately 10.25" x 11.25". A Howard Lowery Certificate of Authenticity is included. Book is in Very Good to Fine condition with minor handling wear to the dust jacket.Auction Info
