"First Noel" Pitch Art Pair of Original Illustrations by Ralph Hulett - Acrylic on 12" x 16" and 15" x 12" Boards (c. 1950s-60s). Ralph Hulett's visionary artwork comes alive in two mesmerizing pieces, each embodying the essence of a proposed show "First Noel." With a masterful blend of colors, emotions, and storytelling, Hulett's pitch art captures the heart and soul of the first Christmas with the three wise men in the first piece and Jesus, Mary, and Joseph in the second painting. Rendered in acrylic on 12" x 16" and 15" x 12" boards. The painting of the manger scene was also used as a submission to Designers Showcase for a Christmas card. Hulett's expertise shines through in the intricate rendering of each creature as well as in the interplay of light and shadows that bring the images to life. Hulett's artistic journey found its culmination at The Walt Disney Studios, where his talent and dedication quickly caught the attention of the animation industry. Joining the ranks of Disney in the 1930s, he immersed himself in the intricate art of background painting. His meticulous attention to detail, an eye for color harmony, and a deep understanding of storytelling dynamics soon made him an invaluable asset to numerous iconic projects including Lady and the Tramp (1955), Sleeping Beauty (1959) and The Jungle Book (1967). This pitch art encapsulates the heart of the proposed "First Noel" capturing the sense of discovery, and the sheer magic of the biblical story. Presented in Good condition with surface and edge wear, smudging, scuffing, and tape.
