Description

Disney Shorts Model Sheets Group of 15 (Walt Disney, c. 1930s-50s). Walt Disney Productions was founded in 1923 when Walt and Roy Disney signed a contract with M.J. Winkler to produce a series of Alice Comedies short subject films colloquially referred to as simply "shorts." Since then, Disney has created over 500 shorts that have innovated in storytelling and experimented in new technologies, processes, and ideas. Offered in this lot is a fantastic selection of 15 studio used model sheets from some of Disney's most popular shorts that include; Donald's Golf Game, Chip 'n Dale's Peanut Paradise, Officer Duck, and Hawaiian Holiday. The model sheets feature Donald Duck, Chip and Dale, Bad Pete, Jose Carioca, Goofy, Lambert, and Donald's nephews; Huey, Dewey, and Louie. These model sheets are studio prints on 11" x 14" photographic paper (one at 17" x 14") and were used by designer/illustrator Paul Wenzel who created the theatrical one-sheet movie posters for the Motion Picture Advertising Department. These are RARE production used studio documents and thus exhibit edge wear, fold creases, crease tears, waviness, splits, curling, some torn corners, pinholes and staples, and smudges. Overall, condition is Fair to Good.
From the Master Disney Artist/Art Director Mr. Paul Wenzel Archive.
