Description

Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color Rare Ludwig Von Drake Studio Dye Transfer Print with Walt Disney Signature by Bob Moore (Walt Disney, 1960s). Professor Ludwig Von Drake, a recurring host on Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color, tickles the ivories and dazzles with a song in the beautiful studio dye transfer print in this lot. The print is presented in a 14'' x 16.75'' mat that has a studio artist Walt Disney signature that was created by Disney Legend Bob Moore (1920 - 2001). Moore was a multi-talented animator and story artist who joined the studio as an apprentice animator in 1940, going on to help with Dumbo, The Reluctant Dragon, and more. After his service in the Navy, he became the head of the publicity department and ran it for three decades until his retirement in 1983, creating everything from movie posters to logos as well as becoming one of the few who could sign Disney's name on autographs. This lot is not only a way to remember Walt Disney and his contributions - it's a testament to Bob Moore and the impact that he had on the studio. Good condition with a torn corner on the mat, light toning, and tape/tape residue on the back where the print is attached.
