Description
The Wonderful World of Disney "The Walrus and the Carpenter" Comic Strip Original Art (Walt Disney, 1975). The Walrus and the Carpenter from Disney's 1951 animated version of Alice in Wonderland step out for this ten-panel comic strip. This originally appeared in the UK version of The Wonderful World of Disney weekly comics newspaper; these were occasionally published and sold in the US as well. The art is in ink and watercolor or color markers on illustration board, with dialog pasted onto strips of acetate, no doubt to accommodate different versions for other countries. Each of the three tiers of comic panels are on separate pieces of board that were conjoined with tape; the top tier has since come loose. Part of one speech balloon has torn away. Good condition with old tape, age-related toning, and handling wear.Auction Info
