Description
Disneyland Annual Mr. Toad and Weasels Signed Storybook Illustration Original Art Signed by Marc Davis (Walt Disney, c. 1970s). A group of Weasels rushes to catch Mr. Toad in this lot, offering a stupendous original illustration signed by one of Walt's Nine Old Men and Disney Legend Marc Davis (1913 - 2000). Possibly created for a British edition of Disneyland Annual and based on the "Winds of the Willow" part of The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, this fantastic illustration shows Mr. Toad after crashing his hot air balloon with the five Weasels surrounding him, all done in ink and gouache on a 7" x 3.5" board, showcasing Mac Davis signature on the top right area. Pinholes can be seen on the board corners. Showing light handling and edge wear from production, the condition is Good to Very good.Auction Info
