Challenge of the GoBots "Nova Beam" Title Cel and Key Master Background (Hanna-Barbera, 1985). This Tonka toy-inspired series featuring transforming robots aired as part of the weekend programing block The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera, beginning on 9/15/1985. Here's the original hand-painted 12 field five-level title cel setup for the show's 14th episode, "Nova Beam." Actually, the red of the title is the only hand-painted cel, but the setup includes the gray-sky hand-painted background as seen in the episode. The fading blue behind the title is airbrushed onto paper, while the orange is a cut sheet of Pantone paper. Whatever methods used made it look great, though! The title also includes story and teleplay writer credits, and even includes copyright notices for H-B and Tonka. Condition is Very Good with minor handling wear.Auction Info
