Peanuts Lucy Charlie Brown Production Cel with Production Background (Bill Melendez, 1980's). Lucy snatches and apple away from Charlie Brown in this exceptional Peanuts production cel setup. The hand-inked hand-painted images of Lucy and Charlie measure 5" x 4" on separate 12 field cels that have been paired with a hand painted production background. It is unclear what film these appeared in, but they are likely a commercial from the 1980's. The background of a bench with lunch sacks does appear to be a Key Master match for the cels. Regardless of what it is from, it's an exceptional production image of these long time frenemies. The cels are taped to the background and the setup exhibits minor handling.
