Description

Mickey's Good Deed Mickey Mouse as Santa Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1932). Mickey peeks into the window and watches the impoverished children enjoy their Christmas toys that he snuck into their house. This is a wonderful original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawing featuring Mickey Mouse dressed as Santa Claus from the short Mickey's Good Deed, released on 12/17/1932. This Burt Gillett-directed classic is an essential Great Depression-era cartoon, telling the story of the poor street musician Mickey, who sells his dog Pluto so that he can provide a happy Christmas for an unfortunate family of many children. The art is in graphite with an approximate image size of 2.25" x 2.5" and includes a note to the inker written in red pencil and the sequence number 42A in the lower right, but also 38 in the upper right. The art is in Very Good condition with minor handling and slight age-related paper toning.
