Claire Briggs - Editorial Cartoon Original Art (1917). From a young lad firing off firecrackers on the 4th of July, 1902, to a young man, firing artillery fifteen years later in World War I, the explosive battles for freedom never end! The young man has gone from a symbolic celebration of liberation to a battle for the real thing. The image area is 14" x 11.5". The paper has aged, has been taped, and has been mounted to another piece of paper; it is in Fair condition.
