Tom Batiuk - Funky Winkerbean Daily Comic Strip Original Art, dated 9-28-82 (Field Enterprises, 1982). Tom Batiuk's laugh-a-day look at high school life, Funky Winkerbean, began in 1972. In this daily, a mother declines buying candy from the high school band director saying that she doesn't want to ruin her kid's teeth. Matted and framed, the image area measures 17" x 5". This strip was drawn on vellum which was affixed to drawing paper. The glue has yellowed; otherwise the condition is Good.
