Description
Ghost in the Shell Car Production Cel (Production I.G, 1995). A suspect vehicle is gunned down in this sensational hand-painted production cel from Ghost in the Shell, the famed sci-fi anime film. Directed by Mamoru Oshii and based on the manga by Masamune Shirow, this cult classic is known for its complex themes and captivating animation, tied together by an unforgettable art direction. This three-layer cel presents the white car serving as a decoy so the Puppet Master can escape can be seen with bullet holes and surrounded by smoke, as displayed at about the 59:00 mark of the movie, showcasing a great image size of 9.5" x 8.25". The lot is shown on a printed copy of the background for presentation purposes, taped with archival artist tape. Some fading ink can be seen on the cel's linework. The layers are taped by the top edge and they have adhered together. Overall, the lot is in Very Good condition, with light handling and edge wear from production.Auction Info
