Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color "The Mickey Mouse 40th Anniversary Show" Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Production Cel Group of 4 (Walt Disney, 1968). This group of four heartwarming hand-painted 12 field production cels from "The Mickey Mouse 40th Anniversary Show" episode of Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color honor Mickey and Minnie's enduring and timeless love for one another. The very special episode aired over 55 years ago on 12/22/1968 and celebrated Mickey's 40th anniversary by diving into his stellar career on screen from his debut in 1928 to his ride in popularity and his new role as the host of Disneyland in the 1950s and 1960s. The episode wouldn't have been complete without Mickey's sweetheart Minnie there to show her support, as the two have been a couple almost as long as they have existed and Disney once said in a 1933 interview with Film Pictorial magazine that the two are married behind the scenes. Each of these beautiful cels is full figure and pleasantly centered as the two share a passionate kiss, ranging from approximately 4.5'' x 4.5'' to 5'' x 4.25''. All of the cels are displayed in their own 16.25'' x 12'' mat on a solid color card and are in Good condition with some small areas of paint separation/cracking and light edge and handling wear.Auction Info
