The Lion King Original Concept Art by Thom Enriquez (Walt Disney, 1994). Here's an adorable image from The Lion King. This is an original piece of concept art from the "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" song sequence. As the song begins, Timon and Pumbaa realize that Nala and Simba being alone together would most likely lead to the two falling romantically in love. The two worry that this will bring an end to their carefree days of "Hakuna Matata" with Simba. Timon's prediction comes true, and Nala and Simba's longtime childhood friendship eventually blossoms into intense romance during a stroll through the jungle. The scene begins at or around the 57:50 mark. This remarkable painting is from the hand of story man, Thom Enriquez. Enriquez is a storyboard artist, production designer and layout artist whose credits include Ghostbusters I and II, The Tick seasons 1-3 and Mulan just to name a few. This amazing little masterpiece measures 8" x 5.5", signed by the artist and noted on the back as "Love of My Life...". Matted to 10" x 8". Fine condition.Auction Info
