Description
Lady and the Tramp Tramp on Dog Fight and Lady with a Muzzle Color Model Cel Setup with 21.5" Pan Master Background (Walt Disney, 1955). An astonished Lady watches as the chivalrous Tramp defends her from a trio of dogs in this magnificent hand-painted and hand-inked color model cel from Disney's 1955 film Lady and the Tramp, shown on a phenomenal pan-sized Master background. The color model of Tramp and the three fierce stray dogs shows an image size of 7.25" x 5.75", similar to the image seen at the 36:56 mark of the movie, with Tramp showing slightly different colors. Lady is featured muzzled, measuring 4" x 4", comparable to her appearance at the 38:27 timestamp of the film. Created in gouache on background board, the Master background features a terrifically detailed image of one of the roads measuring 21.5" x 10.5", showing the production code "2079" on the bottom margin, corresponding to the Academy ratio (1.37:1) version of the film. The lot is displayed on a 30" x 18" mat with a 21.5" x 10.5" opening, sold as-is. Both cels are trimmed and mounted on the background.
