Description

Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas Animation Drawing and 1 of 1 Limited Edition Cel Signed by Chuck Jones (MGM, 1966). "Why for fifty-three years I've put up with it now! I must stop Christmas from coming! But how?" The Grinch gives his dog Max some grief as he vents his anger toward the Whoville Christmas celebration, in this original 12 field animation drawing; the image can be found at the 7:45 mark in the film. How the Grinch Stole Christmas was the delightful television special based on Ted "Dr. Seuss" Geisel's book, and directed by Animation Legend Chuck Jones; this film is so admired by fans that it continues to be shown annually every holiday season. This drawing was used to create a special one-of-one hand-inked, hand-painted cel for this great one-of-a-kind display. It was originally sold at a Chuck Jones Gallery 30 Years of Grinch event in 1996, and the print on acetate from that event is also included on back of the frame, as is a Linda Jones Certificate of Authenticity. Linda Jones holographic seals are also on the drawing and cel; both are also hand-signed by Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002). The frame is sold as-is. Drawing and cel are in Fine condition.
