Mary Blair - Cinderella Glass Slipper Scene 9.5" x 9.25" Concept/Color Key Painting (Walt Disney, 1950). With Lady Tremaine and stepsisters Anastasia and Drizella looking on, the Duke presents Cinderella with the glass slipper in this magnificent concept/color key painting by the one and only Mary Blair (1911 - 1978). This concept for a pivotal scene from one of Disney's true classic fairytales is rendered in gouache and measure 8.5" x 8" on 9.5" x 9.25" board. The mint-colored room featuring massive purple tapestry sets the stage for the characters who are all (except Cinderella) festively attired in pink, peach, red and purple. It's an exceptional example of Mary Blair's gift of color styling and a must have for any fan of Cinderella or Mary Blair. The 75-year-old concept piece exhibits minor handling, edge wear and pinholes. Condition is Very Good.Auction Info
