How to Draw Three Dumbo Wolf 16" x 9" Original Illustration by Disney Legend Mel Shaw (Walt Disney, 1950s). "I can see it all now. Dumbo! The 9th Wonder of the Universe! The World's Only Flying Elephant!" Disney Legend Mel Shaw (1914 - 2012) shows us how to draw the eponymous flying elephant from Disney's animated classic Dumbo in this lot, offering an original illustration by the renowned artist for one of the famous How to Draw books once sold at the Art Corner Store of Disneyland. A Disney veteran, Shaw played a major role in the Walt Disney Company, participating in animation, visual development, and story design on momentous productions such as Bambi, The Fox and the Hound, The Great Mouse Detective, Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King. This 17" x 12.75" paper sheet features Shaw's graphite drawings showcasing how to draw Dumbo from basic shapes into his final form on the upper area, with seven more adorable images of the beloved character on the lower part with an overall image size of 16" x 9" and showing the inscription "How to Draw Walt Disney's Dumbo" near the top edge. Additionally, the lot comes with a 17" x 11" printed copy of the final image. The paper sheet shows light stains in the left area. A fold crease can be seen in the center of the sheet and the print. The lot shows, overall, light handling and edge wear. In Good to Very Good condition.
