Description
Yogi Bear and Boo Boo Color Model Cel on Master Background (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1990-2000s). This is a one-of-a-kind color model cel featuring our favorite picnic basket-stealing, park ranger-teasing, campground-dwelling cartoon bear. The color model setup was used for a mini-sericel that was included with the purchase of Yogi Bear box set. Yogi Bear debuted in 1958. Initially, Hanna-Barbera planned to use the character as a sidekick to their well-loved Huckleberry Hound character on The Huckleberry Hound Show. Audiences loved Yogi Bear and his crazy antics in the fictional Jellystone National Park. In fact, as Yogi grew more popular than Huck he became H-B's first breakout character to get his own spin-off: The Yogi Bear Show debuted in 1961. Here's a great color model showing Yogi and Boo Boo enjoying a pic-a-nic basket as Ranger Smith looks on. The cel is hand-inked and hand-painted on 16 field size acetate and paired with the original hand-painted 16" x 9.5" with a Master background. Condition is Fine.Auction Info
