Description

Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island Velma, Daphne, and Fred, Shaggy, and Scooby Production Cel Setup and Signed Production Cel (Hanna-Barbera, 1998). Zombie Island was a groundbreaking film for the franchise, surprising audiences with its uncharacteristically legitimate scares featuring real supernatural creatures rather than the typical crook in a mask. The film is also recognized for its quality animation, done by the Japanese studio Mook Animation, who later helped in the production of the next direct-to-video movies. This movie was also the first Scooby production to feature the entire original gang since 1984. This lot consists of a framed production cel setup and a framed production cel. The production cel setup displays Velma, Fred, and Daphne, and the other one showcases the inseparable Shaggy and Scooby. The one with Velma, Daphne, and Fred is enclosed in a Plexiglass-fronted frame of approximately 19" x 16" with a matboard aperture of 11.25" x 8.25". This setup can be seen at the 55:24 mark of the movie, it displays a Cartoon Network gold stamp in the bottom left and comes with a Cartoon Network COA. The production cel with Shaggy and Scooby is enclosed in a Plexiglas-fronted frame of approximately 17.5" x 15.5" with a matboard aperture of 9.25" x 7.25". This production cel can be seen at the 35:28 mark, it has a Hanna-Barbera gold stamp in the top right corner, and displays the signatures of both Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera! This framed production cel comes with a WB COA, signed by Joe Barbera. Both display printed backgrounds for presentation purposes. Frames are sold as-is. Condition of both is Fine.
