The Disney Store - Mickey Mouse SOLD-OUT Big Figure (Walt Disney, 1999). The debut of the lovable international sensation is commemorated with this large Mickey Mouse Big Figure! Disney Big Figures debuted in 1989 with a simple release of the "Disney Standard Characters" Mickey, Donald Duck, Pluto and Goofy. However, Disney retail branches expanded the collection to include exclusive and limited-edition figure releases based on popular feature films, issued through The Disney Store, The Disney Catalog, and Disney Parks. The timeless Mickey Mouse was created by Walt Disney, Ubbe Iwerks, and possibly Les Clark, and debuted in a test screening of Plane Crazy (1928). Mickey went on to star in "Steamboat Willie" (1928), his third film, renowned as Walt Disney's first synchronized sound cartoon. This collectible Big celebrating Mickey's birth year and a colorful version of his classic character was released through The Disney Store in 1999, swiftly sold-out and was "retired", and has long since been sought after by fans. Measuring 11.5" x 21" x 14", this large tribute to the Disney Standard Character is comprised of a figure and a base and is in Good condition, exhibiting scuffs and wear.Auction Info
