Chris Reccardi - Catmobile 48" x 18" Acrylic on Board Original Painting (DC, 2006). Presented is a spectacular original painting of Catwoman in a sleek "Catmobile" by the hand of the versatile and prolific layout/story/character artist and art director Chris Reccardi (1964 - 2019), created for a Palm Springs art event. Known for defining the midcentury-inspired aesthetics of such lauded cartoons as The Ren and Stimpy Show, The Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack, and SpongeBob SquarePants among many others, Chris Reccardi was also the supervising producer for the first season of Regular Show and creative director for the short-lived Secret Mountain Fort Awesome. This stunning and massive painting is perfectly exemplary of the artist's style, rendered masterfully in acrylic on an impressive 48" x 18" heavy masonite board. The piece is signed by the artist and dated 2006 in the lower right corner. Overall minor handling and edge wear with light surface scuffing, and the condition overall is Very Good.Auction Info
