Description
The Flintstones Featuring Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Coloring Book Front Cover Original Art (Hanna-Barbera/Whitman, 1964). The young prehistoric playmates have fun with flowers on a friendly turtlesaurus in this superb coloring book illustration by an unknown artist. The artboard is noted as "18108 Whitman" and dated 5/14/64 in the lower edge. The colorful art is painted in gouache on illustration board and matted with an opening of 13.5" x 17.25", and the image size is approximately 11.5" x 15.5". The title lettering is painted on an acetate overlay which is rare, as these production title paintings get lost or lose paint; this one looks great. This is one of the nicest Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm illustrations we've seen to date! The mat has an overall size of 17.25" x 23". The art is in Very Good to Fine condition with light handling wear and a few neat tack holes along the edges.Auction Info
