Description
The Little Mermaid: Sebastian's Story Ariel and Friends Children's Storybook Page 22 and 23 Illustrations by John Kurtz Original Art with Published Book (Walt Disney/Western Publishing, 1992). "It wasn't long before Ariel and the prince were married... everyone in the kingdom wished them well - even Triton." The big day has finally arrived for Ariel, in this splendid double-page Golden Super Shape Book story illustration. These are the final key scene illustrations as published at the end of this popular storybook; in the book, they flow from one page to the other in the book, but as you can see, they were painted as two separate images on one artboard. The images are painted in ink and artist's color inks with airbrushed highlights; image sizes are approximately 8.25" x 8.5" on a sheet of heavy "scanner" illustration board measuring 20" x 15". John Kurtz has been one of Disney's favored book illustrators for several decades; one look at these exquisite images and you'll know why! A copy of the published book is included. The hand-signed art is in Very Good condition with minor handling wear.From the Disney and Children's Book Illustrator John Kurtz Collection.
