Marc Davis Chimbu Storytellers Published Original Ink and Watercolor Painting (Walt Disney, c. 1970s). "Marc filled his sketchbook with images of the Kukukuku and other extraordinary peoples - scenes of daily life, exotic foliage, the chieftains and warriors he met, mysterious 'spirit houses' into which women and children were not admitted, and the dances and rituals of a disappearing way of life." Inspired by his formative experiences traveling to Papua New Guinea, Marc Davis (1913 - 2000) depicts a compelling scene in this stunning ink and watercolor painting. Titled Chimbu Storytellers,, this piece was hand-picked by Marc Davis to be included in the Marc Davis Fine Art program, in which 24 fine art giclées were published from this very painting. A rare published original, this must-have signed work is framed under Plexiglas with a mat window size of 18.5" x 11" and an overall frame size of 28.5" x 24.25". All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. Well preserved in the frame, this piece shows minimal handling, and the condition is Very Good.
