Description
Disneyland - Rocket to the Moon Memorabilia Group of 3 (Walt Disney. c. 1950s/2010). When the spectacular attraction Rocket to the Moon opened on July 22, 1955, guests were able to participate in what Walt Disney Imagineering dreamed it would be like to embark on a round trip to our nearest satellite and safely back to Disneyland. To remember the momentous effort of the Imagineers in developing the attraction, we have in this lot a set of three wonderful items that celebrate the classic ride. The lot showcases an exclusive limited edition figure of Rocket to the Moon, measuring about 20.25" from the base, adapted by the acclaimed duo of Disney designer Kevin Kidney and Jody Daily, measuring. Only 500 of these pieces were produced of these exclusive figures displaying the iconic rocket taking off! The lot also includes a photo of two Cast Members in the themed uniform from the attraction's early days in a glass-fronted 16.25" x 13.25" frame with an opening of 13.25" x 10.25". Also presented is an ad for Insurance by North America, displaying a beautiful picture of a family with a dressed-up cast member and the famous rocket in the background. The ad is featured in a glass fronted 13.75" x 15.75" frame. Overall the lot shows some handling wear. The rocket has a small part detached, one reattached to it, and it shows some restoration paintwork done on it. Sold as-is with no implied warranty for lighting elements. Condition is Good.
