Peter Ellenshaw "Rossdhu House at Loch Lomond" Original Painting (2001). Loch Lomond Golf Club is located in Luss, Argyll & Bute, Scotland on the shore of Loch Lomond. The course occupies land previously held by Clan Colquhoun and includes the clan's seat of Rossdhu Mansion as its clubhouse. Presented in this lot is an exceptional original painting of the Rossdhu house by acclaimed fine art painter and Disney Legend, Peter Ellenshaw (1913 - 2007). The piece was rendered in acrylic on 12" x 7.5" board. Beautiful works by Peter Ellenshaw decorate collections and galleries around the world. Ellenshaw has received numerous awards from many prestigious institutions. Among them the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the American Film Institute in Chicago. He would receive five Academy Award® nominations, taking home the coveted OSCAR® for his stunning recreation of Edwardian London in Walt Disney's Mary Poppins. In 1993 Ellenshaw was inducted into Disney's hall of fame program as an official Disney Legend. In 2017 Peter Ellenshaw was posthumously inducted in the Visual Effects Society's hall of fame. He also has the distinction of having his name appear in a window on Main Street in Disneyland an honor bestowed upon only a few who help create the magic. Artwork condition is Very Good.
