Frankenweenie Victor Frankenstein, Sparky, and Persephone Concept Drawing by Mike Gabriel Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 2012). The endearingly offbeat characters from Disney's 2012 movie Frankenweenie, directed by Tim Burton, are highlighted in this lot that offers rare concept drawings of Victor, Sparky, and Persephone created by Mike Gabriel. A remake of the 1984 featurette, also by Tim Burton, the 2012 stop-motion movie retold the story of a young scientist called Victor Frankenstein, who decides to bring his dog Sparky back to life using electricity. Mike Gabriel proficiently recreates Tim Burton's signature style in these three drawings, presenting phenomenal preliminary designs of the characters. The drawings, created in ink on 8.5" x 11" paper, show an endearing image of Viktor and Sparky, a fantastic picture of Sparky by himself, and an early design of the somber poodle Persephone. These three drawings show minor handling and edge wear from production and are in Very Good conditionFrom the Disney Feature Animation Director Mike Gabriel Collection.
