Corpse Bride RARE One-of-a-Kind Screen-Used Coffin Prop (Warner Bros. 2005). Exceedingly rare and hard-to-find! This is a screen-used miniature coffin prop from the "Land of the Dead" in the Tim Burton-directed feature film Corpse Bride. We see it near the 26:35 time stamp when Victor hides in a coffin. The film was based on characters created by Tim Burton and Carlos Grangel. The production included Burton's usual cast-of-characters which often featured screenwriter Caroline Thompson, actors Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, and musician/song writer Danny Elfman. The film was made at Laika Studios, the stop-motion animation studio in Oregon. Released in October of 2005, it would go on to earn $118 million world-wide receiving great reviews praising it for its animation, characters, songs, and humor. The film won the National Board of Review for Best Animated Feature, and was nominated for the 78th Academy Awards® for Best Animated Feature. The film won the Annie Awards Ub Iwerks Award for Technical Achievement in 2006, where it was also nominated for Best Animated Feature, Best Character Design, and Best Direction. This coffin prop is crafted of wood treated to appear as rotted wood. It measures 16.5" with a removable lid. Included with the prop is a letter written by assistant director Simon Tatum who was gifted the coffin upon completion of principle photography. In Very Good condition.
