Description
Berserk "Nobleman" Adonis Key Master Setup (OLM, 1997). "He saw..." Guts had intended to only kill Julius, but now that Julius' son Adonis has seen him he can't let him leave alive. Guts stabs Adonis to ensure he can't tell anyone what he saw, but the decision comes at a price and leaves him haunted. The heartbreaking 10.5'' x 12'' 3-peghole production cel and Key Master background in this lot were created for about 7:37 in the 10th episode of the popular anime Berserk, "Nobleman". The episode was released on 12/10/1997. The cel is a great example of the dark settings and story arcs within the series as well as some of the various themes - like morality and guilt - that are explored. Adonis measures roughly 10'' x 10.25'' on the cel and is marked A1 E in the upper right - the only cel used in the shot. The trimmed gouache on board Key Master background of the brick wall is about 11.25'' x 12.25'' with great detail! The Key Master setup is displayed in a 9.5'' x 10.5'' mat window and 14'' x 14.5'' overall mat, sold as-is. Good to Very Good condition overall with faint edge and handling wear, light fading/restoration of the linework, and minor scuffing on the background.Auction Info
