Description
Neon Genesis Evangelion "Asuka Strikes!" Asuka Production Cel (Gainax, 1995). From Asuka's premiere episode in Neon Genesis Evangelion, "Asuka Strikes!" we have in this lot a fabulous hand-painted production cel placing the spotlight on the fan-favorite character. This image can be seen partially covered by Shinji at the 17:20 timestamp, as Asuka finds herself in a tough spot while fighting Gaghiel. Displaying a stupendous image of Asuka looking characteristically annoyed after Shinji points out their tough situation, saying "Oh man, it just goes from bad to worse," this 12-field cel has the skilled pilot measuring 8.25" x 7.25". The cel is offered on a printed background for presentation purposes, taped with archival artist tape. Light ink fading can be seen on the linework.
