Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Snow White, Prince, Dopey, Bashful, Sneezy, and Sleepy Animation Drawing Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 1937). "And away to his castle you'll go, to be forever happy we know." Snow White gets her happily ever after in this quintessential trio of animation drawings from the conclusion of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The film has been called groundbreaking for decades and the funeral sequence really set it apart, wrapping heartbreak and joy in beautiful animation that could bring an audience to tears. Two of the drawings are 12 field and one is 16 field with all rendered in graphite with color pencil. The 16 field drawing can be found first at about 1:19:43 and shows Dopey, Bashful, Sneezy, and Sleepy laying flowers and mourning Snow beside her glass coffin. This drawing was initially sold through the Courvoisier gallery art program and features a Disney embossed seal and stamp. The remaining two are large, beautiful drawings of the Prince as he gives Snow her true love's kiss and Snow as she is about to wake in the next scene. The two can be found at roughly 1:20:38 and 1:20:50 respectively, immortalizing one of the most magical moments in Disney history. The drawings range from about 9.5'' x 4.5'' to 8'' x 3.75'' and each take up the majority of the page. This lot is sure to be the highlight of any Snow White collection with Prince and the Dwarfs drawing marked 73A and 605 and Snow White's drawing noted as a key drawing with a circled 24.
