After losing herself in the Japanese countryside, poor little Mei hears her sister's voice in the distance, who emerges from above riding the Catbus as it leaps from a powerline. This is an adorable hand-painted original production cel of Mei as she clutches her ear of corn, a gift for her hospitalized mother. Seen at the 1:20:50 mark of the film Hayao Miyazaki's landmark classic My Neighbor Totoro, this piece captures a memorable moment from one of the film's most emotional scenes. Mei measures a centered 6.25" tall on two 13.75" x 9" cels. The piece shows minor handling and edge wear with staples in the upper corners, and the condition is Very Good.
