Description

Victor Prezio Western Novel Cover Preliminaries Original Art Group of 6 (c. 1960s-70s). These actionful rustic pieces originated as rehearsals for the covers of such paperback novels as Dead Man's Gold and Blood on the Plains. All exemplify the artist's mastery of gouache color-spotting, with a uniform sense of storytelling urgency consistent with Prezio's better-known horrific and heroic comics paintings. Rendered on varied textures of illustration board. Image areas, 7" x 11.25" to 7" x 11.5. General toning and handling wear. Very Good condition.
