Description
The Dognapper Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1934). Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck leap into the air in shock when they realize the log they're standing on is suddenly being fed into a giant saw blade. This expressive drawing is from the David Hand-directed theatrical short The Dognapper, and this moment can be seen at approximately the 4:58 mark. Released on 11/17/1934, this classic features a long-billed Donald Duck in only his third ever appearance in Disney history. Donald Duck's voice actor, Clarence Nash, also voiced Mickey Mouse for the first and only time as Walt Disney, Mickey's voice, was absent in Europe during the production of The Dognapper. This incredible piece of animation history is rendered in graphite and green pencil on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper, and the number 32 is noted in the lower right corner. The image measures 6.75" x 3.75". The paper shows handling and edge wear with a small fold in the lower left corner, and there is slight paper toning around the edges. The drawing is in Good condition.More information about Walt Disney Studios - Fab Five. See also: Fab Five, Disney's Fab Five Artist.
