Description
The Klondike Kid Mickey Mouse and Pluto Animation Drawing Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1932). After a thrilling shootout (in the dark!) Peg Leg "Pierre" has abducted Minnie Mouse and stuffed her into his sled. Mickey, woefully underdressed for the snowy weather, has jumped onto his own sled, drawn by Pluto, to rescue her. This masterful short boasts some innovative art direction, and draws inspiration from the classic 1925 Charlie Chaplin film, The Gold Rush. The film was released on November 12, 1932 and was directed by Wilfred Jackson. These drawings can be seen at the 3m10s point in the film, just as Mickey has run out of the saloon and cracks his whip over Pluto, to "Mush!" Mickey is 2.5" tall. Pluto rears up in surprise, ready to dart off after Pete and Minnie. He also stands 2.5" tall on his hind legs, and draws the sled behind him; image area measures approximately 6" long. Characters are rendered in graphite on 12 field, two-peghole paper. Both are in Fine condition.Auction Info
