Description
Edmund Emshwiller (as Emsh) IF Magazine Original Art (Quinn Publ., 1957). What a terrific find! One of the livelier science-fiction illustrations we've seen from Emshwiller, one of the most prolific and popular SF artists of the classic pulp-fiction scene. The boxing-ring slugfest, human vs. robot, originally adorned a story by Aldo Giunta called "Jingle in the Jungle." (The magazine also is known variously as IF: Worlds of Science Fiction, and as Worlds of IF.) Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 7" x 8". Light toning. One notable vertical crease at right; one smaller crease at lower left. Very Good condition.More information about Emsh.
