Description
John Prentice Rip Kirby Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 11-27-56 (King Features Syndicate, 1956). Prentice hit the ground running on Rip Kirby following the tragic death of Alex Raymond. Heroic detective Kirby stashes a weapon against future need, while a shadowy villain contemplates a crooked plan. This ink-over-graphite on Bristol board episode is from early in Prentice's tenure. The image area measures 20" x 5.75", and is in Excellent condition, with edge toning and ink/fingertip smudges at upper right/right margin.
