Special Comics #1 Advertising Poster (MLJ/Archie Comics & Kable News, 1941). A striking flashback to the high-energy early days of the comic-book business: The distributor supplied this spot-color display to newsdealers to herald the showcase book for Harry Lucey's menacing superhero, the Hangman. (The title changed to Hangman Comics with the second issue.) Dimensions, 22" x 17". Horizontal creasing, with water stains at right. Very Good condition.Auction Info
